Native Woodland Trust gets new headquarters and jeep

Over the last few years the Native Woodland Trust has been growing rapidly, most notable the number of reserves to its name. In 2009 the trust had one reserve and this has grown to six by the end of 2012 with many more planned. Along with our reserves our staff number has also increased up from one in 2009 to three by the end of 2012. To accommodate this growth a decision was made to expand our office accordingly and the Trust is pleased to announce the opening of its new office and headquarters which occurred on the 21st of January 2012 in Dublin. The office will be run by general manager Linda Lawlor and the address is Second Floor, 11A Mulcahy Keane Industrial Estate, Walkinstown, Dublin 12.

This new office will allow plenty of work and storage space for the staff, with a total of eight work stations giving scope for future expansion and capacity for volunteers assisting staff when needed. With this new base the Trust is well placed to grow and tackle the busy times ahead. As a result of this expansion it was decided to purchase a commercial vehicle, this is currently driven by our reserves officer Kieran Flood and we hope to continue this expansion well into the future.
