The Draft Marina Park Masterplan, prepared by Cork City Council, describes the vision and ambitions for the development of the entire park to be implemented on a priority phased basis as resources permit.
The Masterplan covers the entire length of the Marina from Shandon Boat Club to Blackrock Harbour including the Atlantic Pond and Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Proposals include for active and passive recreation, play activities and active pursuits, ecological, art and cultural strategies, and provision for the redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh Stadium and development of a Centre of Excellence.
Copies of the Plan are available for inspection at the Reception Desk, City Hall between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday, or online on www.corkcity.ie/services/recreationsport/draftmarinaparkmasterplan. A public consultation information forum will be held on Tuesday, 11th June 2013 at the Atrium, City Hall between 4.30pm and 8.00pm, for those who wish to attend.
