Let’s Talk Science Festival – Ballymun

GAPIreLet’s Talk Science is Ballymun’s first ever science festival. The festival is organised and delivered by the Rediscovery Centre and Global Action Plan with support from Science Foundation Ireland and in association with Dublin City Council.

The aim of Let’s Talk Science is to celebrate and promote the contributions that science makes to society – past, present and future and to encourage and inspire public awareness of science and technology. The festival aims to make science more accessible and meaningful for the local community and the general public through fun and interactive workshops.

The festival will take place from Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th May.There are a number of exciting events and activities to take part in. Here are just a few of the highlights:

Saturday 23rd May (10am – 5pm) – Family Fun Day at Ballymun Plaza, Axis and Civic Centre. Games, Demos, Workshops & loads of fun, including:

12pm – 2pm – Scientific Threads Fashion Showcase with Rediscover Fashion            

All Day – The Natural World

Sunday 24th May (11am – 2pm)                                                                                        

Family day. Free activities and workshops for all the family in Virgin Mary Community Garden, Ballymun, including;

12pm – 1pm – Community Garden Tour with Global Action Plan (GAP)                

12pm – 1pm – Mini Beast Hunt with Rediscovery Centre
