Green Pathways II- Commencing October 13th 2014

Green Pathways II is a 27 week full-time course funded under the Momentum II initiative. It is open to long-term unemployed people who are in receipt of job seekers allowance for over a year. It is run by ECO-UNESCO, Ireland’s environmental education and youth organisation. ECO-UNESCO successfully ran Green Pathways I under Momentum I in 2013 – 2014 progressing a high percentage of participants onto work and further/higher education.

Green Pathways II caters for all age groups but will have a specific focus on the under 25s and focuses on progression into jobs.

The programme combines specialised environmental training, an accredited work experience module, a practical work placement, an applied learning project, ongoing support and post-delivery supports including job clubs. Each participant will undertake a 3 week induction programme; FETAC accredited training to include the modules in Work Experience Level 5, Sustainable Development Level 5 and Ecology and the Environment Level 6. There is a period of 10-14 weeks work placement.
