The Irish Seal Sanctuary is Ireland’s only voluntary marine wildlife rescue NGO taking in mainly seals but also oiled sea birds. The ISS is also actively involved in the areas of Oil spill response planning for wildlife, Sustainable fisheries, Cetacean freedom and Education. The ISS seeks to provicde sustainable alternatives to disenfranchised coastal communities, particularly in the area of ecotourism.
