The EENGO secretariat are hosting a Members’ Plenary Session and Capacity Building Day on Thursday, 29th November, 2007 from 09.00 to 16.30.
It will be held at the Cultivate Center, 15 – 19 Essex St West, Temple Bar, Dublin 8 (map)

This session will allow members to discuss issues of common concern, and planning cooperation.

14.30 – 16.30 Capacity Building Workshop: “Using GIS/ GPS in our work”
GIS is a valuable tool that can help us to manage our natural resources and environmental systems more effectively. It enables users to discover relationships not visible when dealing with non-spatial data and can also help us to communicate these relationships through the production of visually compelling and dynamic maps.
This workshop will introduce and explain what GIS /GPS is and how it can be applied to your work.
